24 Hour Plays

A Hollins Theatre Institute & Hollins Playwright's Lab Event

24 Hour Plays is a national festival in which playwrights write a play overnight, directors work with actors the next morning, and each 10 minute play is put up in front of an audience all within 24 hours. I stayed up for 36 hours straight working with directors and writers to provide sound for this incredible festival of new works. I met with each writing team every 2 hours during the night to prepare possible cues and had an initial meeting with directors to hear what they wanted for transition music. We also had a new musical that required a pit. I worked on assembling that pit at 3am.
